I didn’t nickname myself—there is a reason! My matches are all like thirty minutes. I’m breaking good and playing good, so I feel happy. I feel real good about my group. I played Sarah Ellerby just now, and she is not the favorite in our group, so you gotta figure she will lose most of the matches, so it was very important to win—and win convincingly—and I think I did that.”
Elsewhere for the US, so far this morning Dennis Hatch suffered an 8-3 loss to Danny Harriman, while Larry Nevel dominated his match with Ike Runnels, winning 8-4.So far the Filipinos remain untouchable—Alex Pagulayan destroyed Frankie Hernandez 8-0, Ramil Gallego won 8-2 over Lee Heuwagen, Warren Kiamco bested Brian Saleh 8-3, Dennis Orcollo won over Lou Butera 8-3, and Antonio Lining dealt a surprising 8-2 loss to Earl Strickland. Rodolfo Luat, though, lost to Jayson Shaw 8-4.“I felt good but I’m still new at the game and still learning,” said the irrepressible Pagulayan, “so that’s why I am watching everyone on how they play, and maybe I can’t pick up something to improve my game. I’m always happy about my group because that’s the way you have to be if you want to win this tournament … whoever comes to your group, you just have to play your best.”Round 2 GROUP 41GROUP 42GROUP 43GROUP 44GROUP 45GROUP 46GROUP 47GROUP 48GROUP 49GROUP 50GROUP 51GROUP 52GROUP 53GROUP 54GROUP 55GROUP 56GROUP 57GROUP 58GROUP 59GROUP 60K.
