No safeties are allowed, and misses are rewarded by handing the cue ball to the incoming opponent. Breedlove, who just beforehand won $40,000 with his wife, Jeanette Lee, in the Skins Billiards Championship event, has a freewheeling style that fits this aggressive format perfectly. The pot values per game started at $20,000 and escalated to $75,000 by the time everything was over; each player began with $125,000 worth of chips.
Though Morris won the second rack, he never won another, which put him out in the thirteenth game when the ante reached $45,000. Barretta lasted another rack, almost getting back into the game with her remaining $60,000, but she sent the 6 ball right into the rail and was eliminated. With $335,000, Breedlove was the bigger winner of the two going into the finals, and Schmidt ended up with $165,000.
