This event had a good mix of 50 handicapped players and due to the nature of handicaps it was pushed true in one day as well for the relief of the travelers. Brian Bedford was accommodating and stayed late to see the end and let the top six players take the money.The “hot seat” match was held between Greg Plester 7 vs. Paul Tytler 6+ (match is 8-7) and Paul Tytler bested Greg by a score of 7-5. One loss side top bracket featured Chris Jenkins 8+ vs. Marco Hardey 4+ and Chris goes by with the score of 8-2. One loss side bottom bracket has Dan Devos 8+ vs. Al Lougheed 8+ (match is 8-8) and Dan Devos wins with 8-5 score over Al.Now is Chris Jenkins 8+ vs. Dan Devos 8+ and Chris Jenkins prevails again with a 8-3 score and gets ready to play Greg Plester 7 (match is 9-7) and plows true Greg with 8-2 score. Greg settles for third.
Chris Jenkins 8+ with batteries fully charged goes back to the A side to meet the holder of the hot seat Paul Tytler 6+ (match is 8-6) and after some good pool the game goes hill-hill and Chris Jenkins defeats Paul the first time, but in good fashion Chris has to defeat Paul again to claim the stop.These two players are matched up beautifully and the game goes toe to toe and climax again in one other double hill, but this time Paul Tytler becomes the watch maker and flawlessly takes the victory on a well deserved match.
