Cash Cashes in GeorgiaKBP Georgia 9-Ball Tour/Atlanta, GAby Rick DavisDanny Cash made a surprise return from the one-loss side to claim the title at the KBP Georgia 9-Ball Tour, held at Mr. Cues II in Atlanta, GA. The billiards event, which was held July 29-30, drew a modest crowd though all the entries were fiercely fighting for the top honors.Bryan Whaley drove the bus, taking all the players to school as he reached the hot seat undefeated. In the hot seat match, Whaley sent away Bernardo Estevear to face Cash, who had fought his way to the top of the one-loss side. In a seesaw match, Cash reached the hill against Estevear with a 4-3 lead, then a 9 on the break claimed the match for him.
Cash and Whaley clashed in the finals, with Whaley taking an early 5-1 lead in the first set until Cash was ready to play, taking back the set and winning 9-7. The second set was all Cash—after getting to an early lead, he finished up with a 9-6 score for the win and top finish.Results:1st Danny Cash2nd Bryan Whaley3rd Bernardo Estevearvisit Inside POOL Magazine for the latest news from the sport of billiards and pool.
