Cenna First to Place First on TotalPool 9-Ball Tourby Matthew PingorFall River, MA - Rich Cenna took first place as the TotalPool 9-Ball Tour landed at Straight Shooter’s of Fall River, MA. The 11 players that attended the tour’s first stop, held on March 5, battled over the $300 added. The hot seat match was over pretty quick. Squeezing in nine games, Ray Marotto defeated Cenna 7-2. Jaime Forcier set the quarterfinals ablaze in a match against Stacey Lantz. Forcier took over from the start, and with little effort, reduced Lantz to ashes 7-3. In the semifinals, Forcier tried to force his way out of the dark side bracket. Marotto, who won the match, jammed Forcier’s attempt, winning 7-4.
Marotto was trying to catch up to his good buddy Cenna. Both players go back pretty far, and that showed in the finals as they traded games like two guys who know how one another plays … because they do.
