The final match is planned for Sunday at 5 p.m., with the final four beginning at 1 p.m. for the televised matches. In the winners’ side matches this evening, Ming “The Empress” Ng came back from a 5-1 deficit against number five-ranked Vivian Villareal to make it 7-6 Villareal. She scored a 2-9 combo to even the score and then took the hill after her opponent missed the 8 ball. “The Texas Tornado” made it a hill-hill match after Ng missed the 3, but then she scratched on her last break. Ng, ranked 24 in the WPBA, rattled the 5 ball, but Villareal then scratched on the 7, leaving an easy out for Ng.
In another upset, the number-nine ranked Ga Young Kim, who was the runner-up at this event last year to Karen Corr, matched up with Visit InsidePOOL for the latest news from the WPBA US Open.
