Kippie Skips Through Newmarket Billiard FieldCanadian 30K Tour / Newmarket, ONTby Willy HermozaNewmarket, ONT, gave a warm welcome to the 63 Canadian 30K Tour players the weekend of November 4-5. Bigwigs Billiards hosted the tour’s event, which saw Peter Kippie triumph over Hsin Huang to take first place.Kippie and Huang first met in the battle for the hot seat, where Kippie prevailed 9-5 in the grinding handicapped match. In the one-loss side, Jeff White and Marc Bucais matched up, with the determined Bucais prevailing hill-hill to relegate White to fifth place. Bucais only advanced as far as the next round, though, coming up short against George Mitrou 7-3.
Huang faced down Mitrou easily in the semifinals, crossing back across the bridge to reach Kippie.
