Legends Billiards Presents the Houston Open o­n October 4-5Some of the biggest names in pool have and will show up for this o­ne o­n October 4-5, 2003. With a limited field of 128 and a $75 entry fee, $4000 added, and a two-player auction at noon each day, this tournaments fills fast with waiting lists numbering in the double digits at most of the events. No player has won this tournament twice. With past champions like current U.S. Open champion and local resident Jeremy Jones, along with Johnny Archer, Junior Harris, Shannon Bryant, and current Houston Open champion Gabe Owens, this is a tournament you don't want to pass o­n. With a cash payout of over $10,000 for first place at the last tournament and  payouts as large as $15,000 for first place at past events, this makes the Houston Open o­ne of the largest tournaments in the state of Texas. It's not a tournament for the player that needs a break with races to 9 o­n the winners and races to 7 o­n the o­ne-loss side: this is a shot-gun tournament with matches called as soon as tables are free.
