Noon Time on the Fury TourBy J.A. Barnes Sixty-three players met at Strokers Billiards in Palm Harbor, FL, to battle it out in the third event on the Fury Central Florida 9-Ball Tour. The February 27 event featured dominating play by a number of competitors, including Jason Richko, Justin Hall, and Robert Noon, and they would all get a chance to make a run at the victory in Sunday night's final matches.Hall and Richko were making their way through the winners' bracket, while an early-round defeat left Noon to stave off elimination in the one-loss side. As the bracket dwindled down, four players remained: Richko and Hall in the hot seat match, and Noon versus Tim Daniel in the quarterfinals.Richko and Hall played their best, and the match reached hill-hill, but in the decisive game, Richko came out on top 7-6. And, after Noon disposed of Daniel, he and Hall met in the semifinals. Noon kept his momentum going, taking the match 5-3, propelling himself into the finals against Richko. In the final match, Noon held the lead the entire way through, although Richko made a run near the end. However, it was too little, too late, as Noon earned the comeback victory 9-6.Results: 1st Robert Noon $570 2nd Jason Richko $330 3rd Justin Hall $210 4th Tim Daniel $150 5th Jose Del Rio, Nomar Paula $100 7th Tim Baron, Glen Lynch $80 9th John Stucky, Steven Tumolo, Mark Wathen, Travis Moore $60 Visit InsidePOOL for the latest news from the Fury Central Florida 9-Ball Tour.
