Osopovitch Undefeated in ParsippanyTri-State Tour / Parsippany, NJ

The Tri-State Tour hit Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ, where George Osopovitch bested the 28-player field on March 3 to claim the tour’s handicapped C/D 9-ball event.
Keeping his momentum throughout the event, Osopovitch quickly reached the hot seat match where he faced Greg Hecht and slipped past after a double-hill showdown. On the one-loss side, Cyndi Haefner drilled Sal Lanuto 6-1, while Bob Riley eliminated Kevin Scalzitti 6-4. Riley then proceeded to knock out Haefner 7-4 but hit a brick wall formed by Hecht, who had just come off the winners’ side. Hecht kept control the whole match, eliminating Riley 6-4 then hit the finals with a running start.
Hecht reached the hill against Osopovitch, 5-2 then, just before he could close things out, Osopovitch shifted into gear, taking the next four racks to win the match 6-5 after an incredible comeback.
