Scarborough Billiards Stop Snagged by ShognoshCanadian 30K Tour / Scarborough, TORby Willy HermozaTraveling a good distance, billiard player Harvey Shognosh performed well enough to win his first Canadian 30K Tour stop the weekend of October 8-9. Besting the field in Scarborough, Toronto, Shognosh triumphed over Mario Morra in the final match. As a preview to the finals, Shognosh and Morra also met in the hot seat match, where Shognosh prevailed by the score of 8-6. Working through the west side of the chart, Jeff Trudelle matched up with John Morra and prevailed to advance and meet Mario Morra in the semifinals. Young gun Shognosh seemed to get all the rolls in the final match against Morra and built up a 7-1 lead in their race to 8. Like a veteran, Morra started to come back and ground away, winning six straight racks only to watch Shognosh run the last few balls and take the win 8-7.
