Play on October 14 dwindled down to the top eight, who returned for play the following day, and through the mix Jerry Slivka came through the event unscathed. 
On the winners’ side Slivka defeated Bucky Souvanthong 9-4, while Dave Pinkston dealt the same to Jason Michas. Next, Slivka stomped Michas 9-1 to take his throne on the hot seat.Sunday’s opening action on the one-loss side had top WPBA player Karen Corr eliminate Joey Korsiak 9-5 only to get knocked out herself in the next round by Dave Pinkston. Nearby, tournament promoter Mike Zuglan bested Dave Fernandez 9-3 only to follow him out the door soon after as Souvanthong sent him home 9-8. Souvanthong inched forward another step, eliminating Pinkston 9-5, although a 9-2 thrashing by Michas ruined his evening.A true double-elimination format awaited Slivka and Michas in the finals, although it was clear Slivka did not plan to waste much time. The rematch from the hot seat match lasted only slightly longer than their first match, as Slivka ran over Michas for the second time, winning with a 9-4 score to take the event.
