The Irish Invader wins in Floridaby Rick DavisKaren “The Irish Invader” Corr bested Allison Fisher 7-4 to take the title at the Cuetec Cues Florida Classic, held at the Seminole Florida Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. This WPBA event stretched from Thursday, June 28 through Sunday, July 2.Corr, the defending champion from last year, took the title again amidst the competition, which included the entire top 25 womens players on tour. Fisher said, “It was a great match,” and joked with the crowd that “Karen already has several of these at home,” referring to the trophy she received.View the tournament bracket
The final match saw several scratches on the break, along with more fouls than usual  because of the expert safeties being played.
