He not only won the December 11-12, 2004, tour stop but beat out two other Brian's to do so.The event, held at Palace Billiards in Greenville, SC, drew a talented field, all vying for the $975 first-place prize. Besides Capps, the biggest competition of the weekend was Tony Watson, who, after his 7-2 first-round loss to Brian White, scorched through the one-loss side.Capps and earned a spot in the hot seat with a win over White, setting up his contest with Brian Bagwell. Capps continued his dominance with a 7-4 win and a spot in the finals.Meanwhile, White took care of Watson again 7-5 to advance to the semifinals to face Bagwell, and, after another victory, he earned a chance to dethrone Capps in the finals.The final match was exciting to watch for all the fans and players in the attendance. Early on, either Capps or White was unable to gain any substantial lead, and the match went to the hill. White had the break and just needed to sink a ball to keep himself at the table.
