Tosado is Tops on the Tri-State Tourby Rick DavisMike Tosado cleaned up on the Tri-State Tour, winning their June 24-25 event undefeated. Hosted by Amsterdam Billiards & Bar in New York, NY, the tournament drew in a field of 29 players for the handicapped A/B/C/D 9-ball event.As the players crept towards the finish, action was fierce with everyone eyeing the payout. Tomasz Bak defeated Geoffrey Bauer 7-4, while Michael Yedmak defeated Ben Lee 10-6 giving them a fifth-place finish. Following that, Yedmak defeated Bak 7-6 with a break and run from the hill. On the winners’ side, Tosado blew by Mhet Vergara 7-1, putting him in the hot seat. Vergara moved to the one-loss side and was defeated by Yedmak in his fifth straight win from the one-loss side.
The final match was all Tosado with his 7-2 win, which included four break and runs, along with one 9 on the break.
