Mills Makes it in Springhill

Holding home field advantage, Florida’s Donnie Mills triumphed over Reno Open champ Richie Orem to take first place on the July 14-15 stop of the J. Pechauer Southeast Open 9-Ball Tour. This event was hosted by Capone’s Billiard Lounge in Springhill, FL, and boasted a $1,000-added purse.
{mosimage}Mills easily slid through the winners’ side undefeated to win the hot seat match against Orem 9-5. On the west side, Tony “The Sniper” Crosby dealt a tough 9-4 defeat to Luc DePierne to advance to the semifinals. Determined to earn a rematch against Mills, Orem handled Crosby 9-6, sending him home in third place. But his plans for revenge came to naught, as Mills dominated the finals and won by the score of 9-5.
