First Billiards Tour Win for Jenkins

The smell of summer was in the air when the Canadian 30K Tour made a stop at Pool Paradise in Waterloo, ONT. Held March 31-April 1, this stop attracted 44 players to stake their claim, knowing that only one would be successful. That weekend, it was Chris Jenkins who took top honors for the first time on the tour.

Prevailing 9-3 over Adrian Fragoso in the right side of the chart, Jenkins advanced to the hot seat match, where he then dealt Rob Brandenburg an 8-4 loss. Brandenburg had earlier bested Hsin Huang 9-6 in their double-hill match.
In the quarterfinals, Scott McDonald and Jason Netherton slugged it out to see who would advance, with Netherton reaching a 7-4 victory. This set up the match between Netherton and Brandenburg, who wasted no time making quick work of his opponent 8-2.
In the first set of the finals, Brandenburg came out fighting with all eight cylinders, besting Jenkins by a strong 8-4 score. But Jenkins was not about to give up an inch, as he won the final set 8-6 in a well-played match by both players.
