Four Players Remain in UPA Billiard Championship
UPA Pro Tour Championship / Normandie Casino, Los Angeles, CA

As night fell on the West Coast Saturday evening, the remaining 16 billiards players at the UPA Pro Tour Championships made the final shove to reach the top 4 that would return in the final day.
On the winners’ side Francisco Bustamante defeated Johnny Archer 11-4, and Mika Immonen sent Charlie Bryant to the west of the bracket by virtue of an 11-8 defeat. This left Immonen and Bustamante to play the hot seat match.
Over on the one-loss side, Shawn Putnam slipped past Corey Deuel double-hill but then fell to Raj Hundal 11-6, who had began to climb his way through the carnage after his earlier loss. The other half of the bracket offered a similar story as Shane Van Boening drilled Fabio Petroni 11-1 but was then sent packing, as Robb Saez sent Ronnie Wiseman home 11-9 then Boening by the same score.
Rounding out the remaining few players on the one-loss side, Saez stayed strong, eliminating Bryant double-hill while Archer kept alive after knocking out Hundal 11-9. This leaves Saez and Archer to fight out the quarterfinals while the hot seat match prepares to offer its final victim to the left half of the bracket.
