Russo and Gilligan Undefeated in Junior Billiards

The third stop of the Predator Junior 9-Ball Tour visited Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ, where Jesse Russo dominated the 14-and-under division, while Ryan Gilligan owned the 15-and-over field.
In the 14-and-under group it was Jackson Jeffreys versus Russo in the hot seat match, with Russo coming out on top. On the one-loss side, Jeffreys ousted Kevin Sun in the semifinals to earn his way to face Russo again. Sun had taken his first loss from Jeffreys as well, so rematches were in the air. With the finals set to play Russo came out strong after having Jeffrey’s number from the previous match and defeated him for the second time, winning the match and claiming the division.
In the 15-and-over group Derick Daya faced Gilligan in the hot seat match, which kept close, although Gilligan managed to edge Daya out. Daya then found himself in the semifinals where Brent Boemmels took control early and drilled the match to a conclusion, eliminating Daya and sending Boemmels to the finals. The last match of the event was yet another nail-biter between Gilligan and Boemmels, but it was Gilligan who came through to earn the event title.
