Young Gun Morra Wins Again

A week after winning the big Stan James billiard event in Toronto, John Morra was triumphant once again, winning the May 5-6 stop of the Canadian 30K Tour. This stop was hosted by Shooters Billiards in Scarborough, ONT, once again featuring some of the finest players in the country.
{sidebar id=1}Morra went undefeated through the winners’ side of the chart, sending Mike Patrowicz to grind it out on the one-loss side after besting him for the hot seat. Meanwhile, Jason Klatt recovered from a third-round loss to work his way to the finals to meet Morra there.
The finals were action-packed, with Morra taking an early 4-0 lead. But Klatt, unwilling to fold up, bore down and came back to tie the score. The match went game for game after that, until at hill-hill Klatt made good and won the first set. The second set was identical to the first, with one small adjustment: Morra came out the triumphant 9-8 winner.
