$25,000-Added Viking Tour Championships Kick Off By InsidePOOL StaffThe Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour Championship event kicked off today at Northfield Billiards in Northfield, OH.  This event has $25,000 added to the pot and generally draws the cream of the crop to battle for top honors.  The Viking Tour Championship began this afternoon at approximately 4 p.m. and will conclude o­n Sunday, November 23.This year, a total of 120 regional and professional players from all over the world came together.  Canadian 9-ball champion Jeff White, defending champion Larry Nevel, Shannon Daulton, Danny Basavich, Shawn Putnam, Gabe Owen, Grady Mathews, Earl Strickland, Ronnie Wiseman, Dee Adkins, and Danny Medina are just a few of the excellent players present at this event. 
"The spectators will be very happy this year," said tour director Mike Janis of the field.In the $1,000-added 9-ball event that took place at Northfield Billiards o­n Tuesday, November 18, Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour's Player of the Year, Shawn Putnam, defeated Will Slone in the final match.  The results are as follows:1st Shawn Putnam 2nd Will Slone 3rd Andrew Scott, Marty Larson 5th Kevin England, BJ Ussery 7th Ken Karatis, John Maki Visit InsidePOOL for the latest from the sport of billiards and pool.
