2003 U. S. OPEN 9-BALL on PAY-PER-VIEW Four Feature Matches Uncut and Commercial Free ST. LOUIS, MO – The 28th Annual U S Open 9-Ball Championship will be broadcast on pay-per-view, beginning October 12, 2003. A four-match package including the semi-final and final will be available on DISH Network, while iNDemand pay-per-view will showcase the semi-final and final match. Each two-hour feature match is available for only $9.95 uncut and commercial-free on both pay-per-view platforms. However, Dish Network is offering an special event four-match package for only $29.95. The Dish Network broadcast begins Sunday, October 12th with the first feature match from the preliminary rounds of the tournament. Pay-per-view Match #2, the Semi-Final and Championship match will premiere October 19th, October 26th, and November 2nd respectively.
iNDemand pay-per-view will premier the Semi-Final and Final matches concurrently with the Dish Network broadcasts on October 26th and November 2nd. Dish Network will begin marketing and promoting the event in late September to its 8 million plus satellite customers via 30-second commercial spots, produced by BCn, and advertise the event in the Dish Entertainment Magazine and their website. iNDemand will promote the event through TV spots, mail inserts to their 27 million cable homes nationwide and through their website. BCn is promoting the event on the Billiard Club television weekly TV series along with ads in industry publications and marketing through its network of sponsor partners.
