Fisher met with ninth-ranked Helena Thornfeldt in the last winners'-round match of the evening, and though the Swede kept pace with the WPBA's number-one player throughout, Fisher managed to win with a 9-7 score.
Rachael Abbink came up against Belgian snooker champ Wendy Jans in the last round on the one-loss side. Jans had earlier eliminated Sarah Rousey by a stunning 9-1 score but couldn't do the same to Abbink, who took an early lead and never relinquished it, winning their match 9-4 to stay alive another day.
Val Finnie had her hands full in her match against Pam Treadway. After reaching a 8-2 lead, Finnie was forced to watch Treadway fight her way back into the match, but a missed 4-9 combo ended her tournament, with Finnie winning 9-5.
Other players who will fight it out in the west side Saturday are Ewa Laurance, Sarah Ellerby, Kim White, Tracie Hines, Kim Shaw, Vivian Villareal, and Morgan Steinman.
