ACS McDermott All American Tour Results from Billiard Street CafeThe thirteenth stop of the 2005/2006 McDermott All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) featured a $1,000-added purse and thirty-two players hosted by owner Ty Wilson and manager Dean Bradley at Billiard Street Cafe in Fridley, Minnesota, on the weekend of February 18-19. The event featured double-elimination 9-ball on 9-foot Gabriels. Demetrus Jelatis of Minneapolis, MN completed his undefeated march to the hot seat by outpointing Josh Burbul (Minneapolis, MN) 9-6. Derek McMaster (Minneapolis, MN) fought through the B-side bracket to oust Dan Saliente (Minneapolis, MN) in the B-side semi-finals 9-8 and Josh Burbul 9-3 in the B-side finals. Having to defeat Demetrus Jelatis two sets in the tourney finals, McMaster gave it his best shot by defeating Jelatis 9-3 in the first set, only to fall on the hill in set #2 to Jelatis 9-8, giving Demetrus Jelatis the title!
By virtue of also being the highest-finishing ACS member, Demetrus Jelatis qualified for a free entry into either the 2006 ACS National 8-Ball Championships or the 2006 ACS National 9-Ball Championships – courtesy of the ACS.
