ACS McDermott All American Tour Results from Chattanooga Billiard Club EastThe eleventh stop of the 2005/2006 McDermott All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) featured a $500-added purse and twenty-six players, hosted by owner Phil Windham and tournament director Lila Trudel at Chattanooga Billiard Club East in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on Sunday, January 29. The event featured double-elimination 9-ball on 8-foot Brunswick Gold Crowns, and local player K.C. Donahey ran undefeated through the field. In the hot-seat match, Donahey clipped Cecil Llewellyn (Chattanooga, TN) 5-4. Both players compete weekly in the Chattanooga Billiard Club East in-house 9-ball league. In the loser’s bracket quarterfinals, Virgil Davenport (Chattanooga, TN) ousted Mac McDaniel (Chattanooga, TN) 5-4, while Michael Miller (Kennesaw, GA) ended the run of Roger Scott (Chattanooga, TN) 5-3. In the loser’s bracket semifinals, Miller eliminated Davenport 5-3. Cecil Llewellyn then expelled Miller 5-3 in the loser’s bracket finals to gain another shot at K.C. Donahey. Versus Lllewellyn, Donahey prevailed for the title by a 5-3 margin!
3rd place Michael Miller joined the ACS at the beginning of the event and received the added reward of a free entry to the 2006 ACS Nationals in Las Vegas in June by virtue of being the highest-finishing ACS member. Congratulations are also extended to K.C. Donahey who extended his good fortune for the day to also win the raffle for a McDermott Handcrafted Cue.
