ACS National Artistic Pool ChampionshipThe ACS National Artistic Pool Championship is very special to ACS billiards players, ACS league operators, and the special fans of “all” the ACS has to offer.  Since 1993 record numbers of amateur players have participated in dozens of “artistic pool” competitions that have been developed and run by my wife and me.   Select TV events have given the “art” of “trick shots and so much more” a wider audience appeal and several online sites continue to provide daily shot updates from players around the world…shooting “artistic” challenges with creative accents of original design and presentation…to the delight of each person viewing them.
Since Marty and I began our promotional association with the ACS years ago via our “artistic pool” shows, clinics, and competitions, many of you have expressed an interest in continuing and even expanding your competitive flair and participation in the sport of “artistic pool”…with the hope of being able to participate in higher levels of challenge, while enjoying an attractive monetary return.  Well, the time has finally arrived for each of you to experience this journey of challenge and excitement…performing the “twists and turns / dips and dives” of this magnetic sport.    “Ms. Cue” and I have created a unique opportunity for each of you attending the ACS National event in June of 2007 – the Dr. Cue Classic “Artistic Pool” Tour!!Special Note:  The “classic” shots of this tour are challenges that can be made with basic pool skills and knowledge, plus they are guaranteed to spark a special shooting joy to your overall “playing” experience during your Vegas visit.   This unique concept will include the ACS National “Artistic Pool” Championship as one of “four foundational – industry wide” tour stops, leading up to the Dr. Cue Classic “Artistic” Cup in late 2007.  Each tour event will focus on the “sport and show” aspects of “artistic pool”, using a competitive format and shot selection program that will encourage players of all skill levels, regardless of gender or age…to “take the artistic challenge”.   Special amenities will be high make rate challenges with excellent player prize fund payouts.   Players, fans, sponsors, and league operators will have special access to the “Dr. Cue” Promotions entertainment and educational entity called APPA (Artistic Pool Playing Artists)…with its sport benefit amenities, personal / skill development guidelines, and RACK Room applications.       Following are just a few of the primary player amenities for the 2007 ACS National “Artistic Pool” Championship that will be held at the Riviera Hotel and Casino: a)  $1000 minimum added by Dr. Cue Promotions to player prize fund for overall payoutsb)  $500 added by the ACS to the player prize fund for overall payout enhancementc)  Entry Fee – 1 for $15.00 or 2 for $25.00 – Unlimited entries allowed at venue sited)  All participants receive free APPA (Level 1) membership ($10.00 value)e)  $1000.00 guaranteed for 1st place finish and the ACS Championship title f)  Guaranteed prize money to the top 12 scoring players from the preliminary         rounds – positions of finish determined by a final “group” playoff format g) Top 4 players receive 1st option for “reduced” entry to the Dr. Cue Classic “Artistic”       Cup event, plus a free APPA (Level 2) membership ($25.00 value)h) “Perfect” score bonus for making all 8 challenges (1 per discipline) on 1st attempt –          $50.00 (Limited to one per player for overall event) i)  Trophies/plaques awarded to top 4 players after final playoff As an extra incentive to anyone interested in becoming part of this designated and special ACS/Dr. Cue Tour Stop for 2007 I am listing below a few of the “super” provisions for the end of the year Dr Cue Classic “Artistic” Cup event:      a)  $10,000 minimum added by Dr. Cue Promotions; Total player prize fund – $20,000+b)  $2,500 ancillary sponsor contributions to prize fund for payout enhancementc)  100% return of all entry fees, plus “FULL” field payback – 48 playersd)  $5000.00 guaranteed for 1st place and the Dr. Cue Classic “Artistic” Cup title e)  Perfect event bonus for making 40 program challenges on 1st attempt – $2,500 (Split among all players that may accomplish this feat) f)  Special awards/prizes for 8 discipline champions (Tie consideration given)g)  2 Sportsmanship awards:  1) By vote of players and 2) By vote of audienceh) Special “shots made in a row” awards (10/15/20/25/30/35)The 2007 ACS National “Artistic Pool” Championship is part of a great journey for everyone coming to Vegas.   Each ACS player is encouraged to practice the 8 challenges in advance of the event and to enter upon their arrival at the venue site.  All challenge diagrams with specific setup and objective details will be available online no later than February 15, 2007 at:  www.americancuesports.org     and     www.drcuepromotions.comThis will provide each of you with 4 months of lead time to get ready.  Players are required to set up the challenges themselves per the diagram details provided.    This will be an easy process due to the nature of the shots, and players may ask questions at any time if needed.   “Ms. Cue” and I are looking forward to the start of this “new” tour concept, and we are excited about seeing each of you “enjoy the ACS roll” in Vegas…the “artistic” way!!   If you have any questions between now and the time of the shot/challenge releases, please email us:                  Submitted by,        Tom “Dr. Cue” and Marty “Ms. Cue” Rossman                                                “Artistic Pool” Tour Event Directors                                                Phone:  765.795.4968 (Home / Business)                                                                       Email:  drcue@artisticpool.org          The ACS is a non-profit, national organization dedicated to heightening the interest and awareness of cue sports through the support and sanctioning of organized competition throughout the United States and North America.
