Three final contestants remain in the one-pocket event at Derby City. Jose Parica, the world all-around champion of 2002, beat Larry Nevel in a hill-hill match in Round 11 this afternoon. Nevel will exercise his buy-back option to play in Round 12. Across the way, Scott "The Freezer" Frost matched up with Dee Adkins. Both of these players were on their last barrel. It was a great match both offensively and defensively, but Adkins triumphed in the end, ultimately winning 3-2. Pat Fleming and the rest of the crew from Accu-Stats have been filming matches throughout the entire event. Round 12 of the one-pocket event will be at 3 PM. The two players will be Nevel and Adkins, both of whom have one loss apiece. Parica, still undefeated, will have a bye.The 9-ball event is still going strong. Round Four just began earlier this afternoon and has 116 players still participating. In a feature Round Three event, the ever-colorful Keith McCready beat Jimmy Wetch 7-2.
