However, the match swung in the Filipino's favour as he won the third, fourth and fifth to move 4-1 ahead.
In what was proving to be an epic encounter, Wu drew level at 4-4 but Alcano again gained the initiative by leading 8-5 and only three racks from the semi-finals. He then held his nerve to seal an impressive 11-6 win.After the match, Wu admitted he was disappointed with the defeat but praised Alcano. "Overall, I played Ok but made mistakes, especially on breaking," said Wu."The scratches were disappointing but I felt Alcano played better and made better breaks. I had four scratches in this round but this was the first time in the competition I had had any."Luck was not with me, even after I changed my breaking style nothing was going for me."
