BCn EXPANDS TOUR SPONSORSHIPSFalcon Cue Tour 9-Ball Tour Joins the NetworkST. LOUIS, MO (April 15, 2003) The Falcon Cue 9-Ball Tour, formerly the Planet Pool Tour, has joined other pro 9-Ball tours by naming BCn as its "Official TV Network." In its ever-evolving business structure, Billiard Club network continues to expand its promotional strength by focusing on the sport's core participants. "The Falcon Cue 9-Ball Tour, like the other tours and leagues we've established relationships with, provide a valuable medium for promotion and distribution of programming," says Rob Sykora, BCn president. "The clubs and poolrooms are the foundation of the market and we’re providing them with an exclusive TV show featuring their events, tournaments and players."
"When we started the tour a few years ago, one of our main goals was to broadcast our tournament matches via the Internet, and eventually on TV," says Nick Prinsloo, Falcon Tour executive director. "At the time, Internet video technology was not quite ready for us, and we were just another new pool tour with no hope of getting picked up by any TV network. The Billiard Club network is finally helping us achieve that dream. We're now a part of a television program focused on growing the sport of pool. We identify with that and are glad to have them as our ally. BCtv is a sharp looking show featuring the game the way it ought to be and we are looking forward to seeing it on TV at all of our host rooms."In the agreement, BCn will feature video footage from Falcon Cue Tour events in its Billiard Club television program, which will be played at all Tour events. BCtv is also delivered to Affiliate Clubs in the network and through the Internet directly to club members who install the network channel on their personal computers at www.billiardclub.net. Annual membership is only $395 for Affiliate Clubs and $34 for individuals."Our focus is to resolve corporate America's objection to pool as a disassociated and fractured structure," comments Sykora. "With all the tours and leagues that exist in the market, sponsors don't know where to start, so they simply use pool as a broad stroke in their marketing campaigns. The market has value only has a coordinated structure and if pool is going to get a piece of the corporate marketing expenditures, there needs be a cohesive consistent medium by which that corporate sponsor can display its message."The Falcon Cue 9 Ball Tour, servicing the Mid-Atlantic/Washington DC Metro region, had originally made a name for itself as the Planet Pool Tour. Since acquiring Falcon Cues as a major title sponsor, the tour has stepped up to the next level and is enjoying more popularity and bigger fields than ever before. Also known as the "pool tour for the new Millennium," the Falcon Cue 9 Ball Tour fills the gap between amateur league and professional level. Each tournament consist of an Open Event and a Women's Event, and past events have featured players the likes of Mika Immonen, Karen Corr, Charlie Williams, Max Eberle, Keith McCready, Jose Parica, and Bill Stephen. These players help fill the stands, while giving the average player a chance to compete against them and learn in the process. For more information about the Falcon Cue 9-Ball Tour and its organization, visit www.FalconCueTour.com  or call (703) 282-0912.
