BEF Awards $14,500 in College Scholarships High school cueists earn cash scholarships for academic excellenceColorado Springs, CO - The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) awarded $14,500 in scholarships to nine high school seniors in the first year of the BEF Scholarship Program. After the program's October 1, 2003, announcement, over 275 students who excel in the classroom and in billiards submitted applications to the BEF. "Each year the BEF hopes to increase the number of scholarships offered through the continued support of the industry and private donations," said BCA and BEF Executive Director Stephen D. Ducoff. "The long-range goal of the BEF is to develop the future leaders of our industry. The BEF Scholarship Program shows that we value education as much as we value the great sport of billiards."The BEF is currently accepting sponsorships and donations for the 2005 BEF Scholarship Program.
