Billiards Worldcup Association Las Vegas Worldcup 2003A WorldCup 3-Cushion tournament like the 1999 and 2001 WorldCup events in Las Vegas will be held at the Stardust Hotel on July 8-13, 2003, with the final match on the afternoon of Sunday, July 13. The tournament is sanctioned by the USBA and the BWA and will feature the top 3-cushion players in the world. The defending champion is Torbjorn Blomdahl of Sweden. The qualification tournament, which takes place on the first three days of the tournament, will be limited to 144 players. Each player will play at least two matches in a best two-of-three 15-point sets format. The top 12 finishers in the qualification part will join the 20 top international players in the main event which begins on Friday, July 11. Entry to the qualification event is $150 and must be paid in advance to guarantee a spot. Included in the entry fee is a six-day player's pass to see the whole tournament and one three-day guest pass for the qualification tournament. See below for the cost to upgrade these passes.
