CJ Jerome Wins at Hall of Fame Billiards Alice Rim, InsidePOOL StaffThe fourth stop of the J. Pechauer Michigan Women’s 9-Ball Tour was held at Hall of Fame Billiards in Warren, MI, the weekend of February 7-8. Twenty-five women entered the event, and it was CJ Jerome who took first prize.Jerome started her conquest by beating Dana Wilton 7-2, Jaki Lovrince 7-1, Caryn Stroh 7-1, Alice Rim 7-4, and Angela Mears in the hot seat match 7-3.
On the other side of the winners’ bracket, Mears defeated Sheri Cole 7-4, Jody Taylor 7-2, Tracy Koss 7-5, and Andrea Knieper 7-4. After losing to Jerome, she defeated Rim 7-4 to regain her chance at first place. In the finals, Mears took the lead at 4-1. The momentum then shifted, and it was Jerome who tied the score at 4-4. She then went on to win the next three games, but Mears fought back to make the score 7-6 in Jerome’s favor. From there, Jerome took off, winning the next two to win the title 9-6.The event was co-sponsored by Hall of Fame Billiards and LaBaron’s Billiard Supply.
