Campbell Scores First Tour VictoryCorina Campbell, who has stepped her game up as of late, finally broke through at Fast Eddie's northwest military location in San Antonio. She had earned second and third-place finishes her last two outings, but she captured her first ever tournament victory on October 10, 2004, on the Fast Eddie's 9-Ball Tour.Despite working full-time and attending school, Campbell somehow finds time to compete. If she does find time to practice, it paid off in all of her matches on Sunday. Her first-round match against Kim Pierce went to the brink, but Campbell won 7-5. Pierce then rumbled through the left side of the bracket with wins over Audra Carter, Michele Cortez, Nikki Smith, and Amanda Lampert. Each match became tougher, but Pierce had made it to the semifinals. Meanwhile, another undefeated player emerged. In only her second event, Christina Delagarzo found herself blazing through at a torrid pace until finally reaching the hot seat match with Campbell. There, Delagarzo pulled through with a 7-5 victory. Campbell headed to the semifinals to face Pierce who was hoping for some revenge. In a back-and-forth match that reached the hill, Campbell prevailed 5-4 to set up the finals rematch. But she'd have to win two sets to grab her first tour victory. Campbell's momentum carried over to the finals, and she breezed through the first set 7-3. It was now winner-take-all in the second set. Although it was a little tighter, Campbell managed a second consecutive victory to take the match 7-4.
