Champion Billiards and Barstools Donates Pool Table to Walter Reed Medical CenterOlhausen Billiards® along with their Authorized Dealer, Champion Billiards and Barstools of Virginia and Maryland, is proud to announce the donation of an 8' Eclipse Style Pool Table to the Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington D.C. The table is being donated for a facility being created to aid wounded and recovering soldiers returning from Iraq.
This donation was graciously motivated by the American Legion Post 461 out of Wisconsin. Their contact is Larry Smith. He and his group had wanted to do something for the wounded soldiers returning from Iraq. They were able to raise $800.00 and called Olhausen® to see if they would help the Post buy the soldiers a pool table.Olhausen offered to donate the entire table to the soldiers and the American Legion Post 461 then forwarded their donated funds to Champion Billiards and Barstools so all of the cue sticks, racks, balls and chalk could be purchased for the table.Champion Billiards and Barstools offered to sell all of the accessories at cost to further aid the soldiers and in addition will be delivering and setting up the table at no charge. We would like to acknowledge the American Legion Post 461 for their efforts and Champion Billiards and Barstools for the gracious offer to install the table at no cost to the facility.Olhausen®, The American Legion Post 461 and Champion Billiards wish all of the families and individuals impacted by the war our deepest heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery and a prosperous new year!
