Corr Captures Carolina ClassicThe “Irish Invader” Karen Corr defeated England’s Kelly Fisher in the finals of the WPBA 2nd Annual Brunswick Carolina Women’s Billiard Classic in Rocky mount, NC.  Corr cruised through the field undefeated.The format of the tournament included two semi-finals which were taped for television and reduced from a race to 9 to a race to 7.  The earlier semi-finals resulted in number 2 ranked Karen Corr defeating number 3 ranked Atlanta, GA’s Monica Webb, 7-1.   Number 5 ranked Kelly Fisher defeated number 1 ranked Allison Fisher in a 7-6 crowd thriller. Both Fishers are originally from England; both now reside in Charlotte, North Carolina. Corr defeated Fisher 7-5 in the final match for $13,000.
