Play by Play coverage
The players lag for the break and Corr wins. Game 1, Set 1 Corr breaks and makes the 1-ball. She then plays safe o­n the 2-ball. Fisher hits it and leaves a relatively easy cut shot for Corr, who makes it. Corr makes several more balls but misses position o­n the 6-ball and is forced to play safe. Fisher hits the 6-ball and leaves it at the opposite rail for Corr, who plays another safe. Fisher plays safe again, and Corr kicks and hits the 6-ball, leaving Fisher a cut shot. Fisher makes the 6-ball but hooks herself behind the 8-ball for the 7-ball. She kicks at and hits the 7-ball, leaving Corr a rail shot, which she makes. Corr then made the remaining two balls and wins. 1-0 Corr. Game 2, Set 1 Fisher breaks and does not make a ball. Corr plays a good safe, tying the cue up with the 9-ball. Fisher hits the 1-ball, and Corr plays safe again. Fisher returns the favor. Corr makes the 1-ball and is hooked o­n the 2-ball. She plays safe, and Fisher banks it in the side. Fisher then gets in line and runs out the remaining balls to tie the match at 1-all. Game 3, Set 1 Corr breaks and makes the 2-ball. She plays safe o­n the 1-ball. Fisher plays a two-rail kick shot and hits the 2-ball but scratches. Corr runs out to the 6-ball but misses, leaving Fisher an easy out. 2-1 Fisher. Game 4, Set 1 Fisher breaks and makes the 1-ball. She plays safe. Corr hits the 2-ball but misses, leaving a shot for Fisher, who plays a tough rack, almost hooking herself for the 7-ball. Fisher wins the game. 3-1 Fisher. Game 5, Set 1 Corr breaks and makes the 1-ball. She makes a 2-4 combo in the corner pocket and makes the next several shots, including a nice break-out shot o­n the 5-ball. The rest of the rack falls in place and Corr gets out. 3-2 Fisher. Game 6, Set 1 Fisher breaks and makes the 1-ball, the 4-ball, and the 7-ball. She makes the 2-ball but gets out of line o­n the 3-ball, leaving herself a long cut shot, which she makes. She then makes the next four balls easily and gets o­n the hill. 4-2 Fisher. Game 7, Set 1 Corr breaks and makes the 1-ball. She makes several tough shots, including a strong break-out shot o­n the 6-ball, and gets out with a straight shot o­n the 9-ball. 4-3 Fisher. Game 8, Set 1 Fisher breaks and makes the 1-ball and the 7-ball. She plays safe o­n the 2-ball, leaving Corr behind the 9-ball. Corr gets out her jump cue and makes it, leaving herself a long cut shot o­n the 3-ball, which she makes. She then tries for a safe o­n the 4-ball but accidentally makes it. She banks the 5-ball into the opposite corner and leaves the cue in the jaws. Corr then plays a sporty shot o­n the 6-ball in the side, leaving her two balls, which she makes without a hitch to make it a hill-hill match. Game 9, Set 1 Corr breaks and makes the 7-ball. She tries to play safe o­n the 1-ball but leaves a 1-5 combo for Fisher, who makes both in the same pocket. She is then forced to try to bank the 2-ball in the side and misses. Corr makes the long cut o­n the 2-ball but misses the 3-ball. Fisher runs out the remainder of the rack to win the first set 5-4. Game 1, Set 2 Corr breaks and makes a ball. She runs out to the 6-ball but rattles it in the corner pocket. Fisher gets to the table and makes the 6-ball but misses the 7-ball. Corr, left with a cut shot, makes it to get position o­n the 8-ball. She makes the 8-ball but gets out of line o­n the 9-ball and misses, leaving an easy shot for Fisher. 1-0 Fisher. Game 2, Set 2 Fisher breaks and makes the 1-ball, 2-ball, 7-ball, and 8-ball. She is faced with a long cut shot o­n the 3-ball and misses. Corr makes it and gets shape o­n the 5-ball but gets out of line for the 6-ball. She is forced play safe, putting the 9-ball between the 6-ball and the cue. Fisher hits the 6-ball but spins the cue into the opposite corner pocket, giving Corr ball-in-hand. Corr easily makes the remaining two balls and ties the score at 1-all. Game 3, Set 2 Corr breaks and makes the 1-ball. She plays safe o­n the 2-ball, leaving the cue behind the 9-ball. Fisher hits the 2-ball and leaves it in the jaws of the side pocket, as well as parking the cue in the corner pocket behind the 8-ball. Corr hits the 3-ball instead of the 2-ball, giving Fisher ball-in-hand. Fisher makes the 2-ball and then makes two bank shots in succession, getting in line for the 5-ball. Fisher makes the 5-ball and then a 6-8 combo, which left her forced to try to play safe o­n the 6-ball. However, she left Corr a cut shot, which she made, allowing her to run the remaining two balls out to take the lead. 2-1 Corr. Game 4, Set 2 Fisher breaks and makes the 1-ball. She opts to push out. Corr plays safe, and Fisher hits the 2-ball but leaves it open. Corr plays safe again. Fisher whips out the jump cue but scratches into the corner pocket, giving Corr ball-in-hand. Corr runs out, bringing the score to 3-1 Corr. Game 5, Set 2 Corr breaks but does not make a ball. The cue is parked behind the 2-ball, and Fisher pushes. Corr opts to give the table back to Fisher, who makes a great long rail cut shot o­n the 1-ball. She then sells out o­n the 2-ball, leaving it in front of the corner pocket. From there Corr cautiously runs out the remainder of the rack and get o­n the hill. 4-1 Corr. Game 6, Set 2 Fisher breaks and makes the 1-ball. She then pushes, and Corr plays safe o­n the 2-ball. Fisher plays safe, and so does Corr. Fisher then plays safe again, hiding the cue behind the 5-ball. Corr gets the jump cue out and makes the 2-ball and is then forced to make another jump o­n the 3-ball, which she hits but misses. Fisher makes the 3-ball but hooks herself behind the 6-ball for the 4-ball. Fisher kicks and hits the 3-ball, leaving it in front of the corner pocket. Corr makes it easily and runs out to the 9-ball, which she tried to make in the side and missed to hand Fisher a win. 4-2 Corr. Game 7, Set 2 Corr breaks and makes the 1-ball. Corr runs out the balls with great care, making a great break-out shot o­n the 7-ball. She then makes the last two balls and wins the set 5-2 to force the match into sudden death. Sudden Death The players lag for the break, and after some debate, it is decided that Fisher wins. Fisher breaks and makes the 1-ball. She has a fairly wide-open table. She makes the 2-ball and then makes the 3-ball in the side. Fisher plays a long rail shot o­n the 4-ball for position o­n the 5-ball. She makes the 5-ball and the 6-ball. After getting Steve Tipton's opinion o­n the 7-ball, Fisher made the 7-ball, the 8-ball, and then the 9-ball to win the grand prize of $25,000.
