Crosby Clinches J. Pechauer SE Open Win Tony “The Sniper” Crosby showed up o­n the J. Pechauer SE Open Tour to win their o­ne-day event at Veterans Billiards, which was held o­n April 18, 2004.  A field of 32 players showed up at the $1,000-added event to vie for the top prize of $620.The Veterans Open 9-Ball Classic was hosted by Veterans Billiards of Port Charlotte, which is located o­n the west coast of Florida.  It is a well-run family establishment owned by Jerry Romich, a native of Honedale, PA.  Transplanted to the Sunshine State a dozen years ago, Jerry has been the proprietor of Veterans for 6 years.With the final match a thrilling single race to 11, Crosby worked his way through the o­ne-loss side to meet tour director Tommy Kennedy in the finals.  The match went hill-hill, but ultimately it was Crosby who stood in the winner’s circle after his 11-10 victory.Results:1st Tony Crosby $6202nd Tommy Kennedy $4503rd Willie McBride $3504th Steve Knoll $2005th Randy Epperson, Dave Ross $1507th Eric Hull, Eric Gouder $100Visit InsidePOOL for the latest news in the sport of billiards and pool.
