EXPO TO BE HELD IN LAS VEGAS - JUNE 2007BCA Board responds quickly to the membershipColorado Springs, Colorado: The Billiard Congress of America has reset the dates of the International Billiard & Home Recreation Expo. The 2007 event will be held June 21-23 at The Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. Feedback from the recently concluded 2006 Expo, held last month in Houston, indicated that a majority of BCA members — both exhibitors and non-exhibitors — preferred Las Vegas as a location for the show and that the show be held at a later date. "In our first meeting after the Expo, we felt it necessary to determine the cause for the light turnout in Houston," stated Trade Show Committee Chairman Ivan Lee, "Once we had an indication that the major issues were the location and the date, we had a clear path to follow." The unanimous action by the BCA Board moves the 2007 Expo to the June date and maintains the previously scheduled location at The Sands Expo Center. "We listened to our members and felt that this was the best move for the entire industry" stated BCA Board President Gregg Hovey. "Combined with a return to Las Vegas next year, we expect this shift to produce a very well-attended trade show."
