The pros continue to battle it out at Valley Forge, with 24 men left in the Men's Professional Brunswick Pro Players Championship.  An earlier hill match between European star Tony Crosby and Bob Maidhoff in the one-loss side saw the end of Crosby's hopes.  Maidhoff missed a cut on the 5 ball but left it tough for his opponent, who missed and left Maidhoff a four-ball run-out for the 10-9 win.  Another hill match between Tommy Kennedy and Danny Harriman saw a marathon safety battle over the 4 ball before Harriman finally succumbed, allowing Kennedy to win 10-9.  The last match to finish from the afternoon round was between Teddy Garrahan and Tony Robles.  With Robles on the hill, both fought over the 2 ball before Robles gave Garrahan ball-in-hand.  However, Garrahan missed the 7, and Robles got out to win 10-8.Mike Davis, runner-up in the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour Championship to Larry Nevel last November, defeated Corey Deuel late last night 10-7 and then went on to lose to U.S. Open champ Ralf Souquet.  Johnny "The Scorpion" Archer bested Trump 10-Ball champ Danny Hewitt 10-2.  England's fine snooker player Steve Knight came out on top in his match against UPA President Charlie Williams 10-5.  A European battle between Evgeny "The Assasin" Stalev and Mika Immonen ended up being a hill match, with Immonen ultimately sending Stalev to the one-loss side.  And last but not least, Jose Parica handed Earl Strickland his first loss of the day with a 10-3 score.
