The tour garnered a total of 77 players in the open division and 17 in the women's division. Sueyen Rhee took top honors in the women's event, and Mike Davis defeated Pookie Rasmeloungon in the finals for first place in the open. The Falcon Tour was hosted this weekend by Champion Billiards, which is a brand-new room. It is large, with twelve 9-foot tables. The huge bar area and numerous big-screen televisions make it a sports haven, and the pool room is separate. Champion Billiards and Falcon Cues added $2,000 to this event.
Hagerstown, MD, resident Mike Davis, who recently took fifth place at the Men's Professional Brunswick Pro Players Championship at Valley Forge, PA, last March, defeated Jim "Shorty" Henson for the hot seat by the tight score of 9-7. Back in November of 2002, Henson defeated Scott Tollefson at Champion Billiards in Laurel, MD, at the U.S. Amateur Championship. Henson went on to meet up with Rasmeloungon in the match for third place, where Rasmeloungon gave him a 7-1 drubbing. In the finals between Rasmeloungon and Davis, it looked as if would go for the full two sets when Rasmeloungon took a 6-1 lead in the race to 9. However, Davis, who is currently ranked third on the Falcon Cue 9-Ball Tour, fought his way back to tie at 8-all. After a miss in the last rack by his opponent, Davis won the close match 9-8.In the ladie's hot seat match, Rhee defeated Malea Haacke, who then went on to play Amanda Smith. Haacke sent Smith home with third and met Rhee again in the finals. She won the first set in a tough hill-hill match 7-6, but Rhee caught fire in the second set of the true double-elimination finals and defeated her opponent 7-1, explaining, "I really wanted to win!"Results:1st - Mike Davis $1,1002nd - Pooky Rasmeloungon $7003rd - Jim Henson $4504th - Brian O'Donnell $3205th/6th - Shaun Wilkie, Kevin West $2207th/8th - Nick Prinsloo, Tim Colvin $1359th/12th - Bill Elliot, Shane Moore, Fernando Baca, Scott Haas $95Women's Results:1st - Sueyen Rhee $3252nd - Malea Haacke $2153rd - Amanda Smith $145
