The four remaining players in the winners' bracket battled it out earlier this evening at the Mid-Atlantic 9-Ball Tournament, leaving a fight for the hot seat tomorrow between Young Hwa-Jeoung and Efren Reyes. Young Hwa-Jeoung, a talented young player from Seoul, Korea, defeated Buddy "The Rifleman" Hall in a tight match by the score of 11-9. Reyes and Francisco Bustamante met in the winners' bracket and traded games up until Bustamante tied the score at 4-all. At that point, Reyes pulled ahead and eventually ran four racks in a row to get on the hill. He allowed Bustamante back at the table briefly to put two more games under his belt, but ultimately Reyes won the match 11-6.Hall went on to play Rodney "The Rocket" Morris in the one-loss side. Morris quickly jumped to a 5-1 lead when Hall began making a comeback. They tied at 6-all, but Hall was unable to stifle Morris, and Morris defeated Hall 11-7. Bustamante ended up facing Charlie Williams in a lengthy match on the one-loss side of the brackets. Just when it looked as though Williams had the advantage of being at the table when the score was tied at 8-all, he sold out on the 8 ball, and Bustamante took advantage of his mistake, winning that game and running out the next two racks to win the match 11-8.
