Focal Point Developed for Expo and Trade Services Colorado Springs, CO - Stephen Ducoff, Billiard Congress of America (BCA) Executive Director, announces that Carolyn Lewis has been named the "BCA Trade Services Director". Ms. Lewis will be responsible for all aspects of the BCA's Expo, newly re-named "International Billiard & Home Recreation Expo" (beginning in 2004). The Expo is the world's largest business-to-business trade event for the billiard and home recreation industry. In addition to making the Expo the BEST and BIGGEST there is, she will also be responsible for Trade Services programs and projects such as gathering and publishing industry data, educational initiatives and cross marketing with key trade associations in complementary industries. Each year, everyone in the billiard and home recreation industry comes together for four days of education, placing orders, catching up with old friends and making new ones. Manufacturers, distributors, retailers, room operators, publishers, media and service providers from around the world attend. The BCA's Expo gets bigger and better every year. According to Mr. Ducoff, "continuing growth will be the primary responsibility of Ms. Lewis. She has been tasked to work toward a steady growth in quality, vendors and buyers at the Expo".
Ms. Lewis was quoted as saying, "I love to work with exhibitors and attendees at the Expo. Ms. Lewis started with the BCA as the League Administrative Assistant in February of 2000 when the trade organization relocated from Iowa City, Iowa, to Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was promoted to Marketing Communications Manager, in charge of management and production of all BCA printed material, as well as numerous other projects. This most recent move recognizes not only Ms. Lewis' talent and accomplishments, but also the importance and focus that the BCA is placing on the Expo. According to Mr. Ducoff, "The International Billiard & Home Recreation Expo is the most important service that the BCA offers its members and the industry. By focusing our resources, and with the leadership of Ms. Lewis, we will produce an even better event, with more exhibitors, more attendees and more opportunities for people to network and conduct business." This year's Expo will be in Las Vegas, Nevada, July 9-12, 2003, and the dates for the 2004 International Billiard & Home Recreation Expo are March 31 - April 3, 2004, also in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
