Foster Wins His Fifth Billiards TournamentKBP North Florida Tour / Ocala, FLby Rick DavisBilliard player Steve Foster continued his reign over the KBP North Florida Tour, going undefeated to win the tour’s tenth stop. Held September 17 at Downtown Billiards in Ocala, FL, the tough field was no match for Foster.Foster knocked Robert Otto aside from the hot seat match, ready for a rest before his final opponent appeared. In contrast, the one-loss side offered much more excitement, as the remaining players scrambled to face Foster. Tim Daniel, a consistent top finisher on the tour, eliminated Travis Moore 7-4. Keeping pace, Elvis Rodriguez knocked out Chuck Malone 7-6 to bring the event to the top four. A close match unfolded between Daniel and Rodriguez, but Daniel surged ahead first to take the match 7-5. On a roll from several wins, Daniel continued to play strong as he eliminated Otto 7-5 after his defeat by Foster.
In the finals, Foster and Daniel played another close match, with neither player able to get too much of a lead until Foster eventually crept ahead to win 9-7. Both Foster and Daniel have riddled the KBP North and Central divisions with wins, and with the season finale approaching, neither one is expected to slow down.
