Great Seminole Senior OpenBy InsidePOOL StaffBy the end of the afternoon, roughly half of the 75 players who journeyed to Naples, FL, to compete in the Great Seminole Senior Open will be eliminated. The event, which is taking place at Naples Beach Hotel, boasts a total of $40,000 in added money.Buddy "The Rifleman" Hall was knocked into the one-loss side of the bracket by Grady Mathews earlier in the event, and because of health problems, forfeited his second match. The only woman to participate in this event, Belinda Campos, who is currently ranked 16 by the WPBA, is on the one-loss side. Nick Varner, winner of the Glass City Open last year, joined her there after his defeat by Danny Medina.
In a feature match on the winners' side of the bracket, Jose Parica of Team Fury and Medina will meet at 7 PM this evening. Medina took top honors at the Sands Reno Open last December, and Parica is a threat to win at any event he chooses to enter.Also, as entertainment for the audience, an exhibition match has been arranged between Corey Deuel and "Texas Tornado" Vivian Villareal.
