Green Goes Blazing Forth in Blaze 9-Ball Tourby Jose BurgosDrexel Hill, PA - Snow shovels and pool cues proved to be the only useful gear as the Blaze 9-Ball Tour dug into Drexeline Billiards of Drexel Hill, PA, despite 18 inches of snow. The $1,000-added event saw 32 players emerge for some action February 12. Emerging further was Danny Green, as no amount of snowfall or competition could prevent him from taking first place. The exposition for the hot seat was between Green and Bob Maidhof. In a one-sided match, Green came out on top with a winning score of 7-3 to take the hot seat.
Making his move on the redemption side was Mike Davis. With his 7-5 win over Jerry Slivka in the quarterfinals, he began honing in on another shot at Green, who had put him to the side earlier that day. During the semifinals, Maidhof tried to get in Davis’s way but struggled to hold the line and fell 7-6. From the start, all Davis could do was watch as Green took control of the finals. Coming out the ultimate competitor, Green grabbed first place with a win of 9-3.Results:1st Danny Green2nd Mike Davis3rd Bob Maidhof4th Jerry Slivka5th Mike MillerHenry Moore7th Brandon ShuffWes DobsonVisit Inside POOL Magazine for the latest news from the Balze 9 Ball Tour.
