The wait has been long, but Helena Thornfeldt won the Women's US Open at the Sandia Casino in Albuquerque, NM Sunday.
Helena defeated Allison Fisher in the finals by a score of 7-4. Thornfeldt had captured the Hot Seat and was waiting for the winner of the loser's bracket to meet her in the televised finals. Thornfeldt has made the televised rounds in four consectutive televised tournaments.08-Sep-2002 21:42 EST
