Hjorliefson Takes Fifth 30K WinCanadian 30K Tour / Brampton, CANby InsidePOOL StaffEric Hjorliefson notched his fifth win on the Canadian 30K Tour the weekend of December 9-10 by besting Scott McDonald in the final match. Hosted by The Raxx Bar & Grill in Brampton, this stop attracted 30 of the area’s top players, including Rachael Abbink, John Morra, Mike Patrowicz, and Al Lougheed.
Hjorliefson put down Mario Morra 10-2 in the winners’ side before heading to the hot seat match against McDonald, who sent “Big Red” to the west side of the chart with an 8-7 victory. Former tour stop winner Patrowicz and Lougheed were fighting in the quarterfinals, with Patrowicz advancing to the semifinal match 8-3. His meeting with Hjorliefson didn’t go well for him, as Hjorliefson brushed him aside 10-5 to cross over to the finals.
