Junior Qualifiers ScheduledBCA seeks added host rooms for nationwide qualifying seriesColorado Springs, Colorado: The Billiard Congress of America [BCA] offers BCA member rooms an opportunity to host a young boy’s or young girl’s BCA Junior 9-Ball Qualifier, to be held on a Saturday and/or Sunday between now and June 4, 2006. Winners of BCA qualifying events will be able to compete against the top young cueists from the United States in the 2006 Junior & Collegiate 9-Ball Championships. To date, almost 30 venues have expressed interest in hosting a designated qualifier, and more are needed to offer competition nationwide. If your room meets the requirements to be considered as a host site, please download and submit the necessary paperwork.
The BCA has teamed up with the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) to combine the BCA Junior Nationals and the ACUI Collegiate 9-Ball Championships, titled the Junior & Collegiate 9-Ball Championships. The 2006 event is slated to take place July 5-9, 2006 at the University of Arizona, in Tucson. Celebrating its 18th year, the BCA Junior National 9-Ball Championships have become the most prestigious junior event in North America. Professional players such as Charlie Williams and Tiffany Nelson started out competing in the BCA Junior National 9-Ball Championships and are now playing on the Professional Tour.
