Knight Goes Undefeated in BilliardsKBP Central Florida Tour / Tampa, FLby Rick DavisThe fifteenth stop of the KBP Central Florida Tour visited Planet 9-Ball in Tampa, FL, where Richard Knight swept the board to take his first top-place title. The one-day event, which took place October 8, drew in a 30-player field for the 9-ball action. After a long day of play, action on the one-loss side merged to only a few remaining players. A local known only as “Little Louie” eliminated Eric David 5-4, while Marc Vidal scorched Scott Howard 5-2. Vidal continued his streak, bashing Little Louie 5-1 to move on to the semfinal match.
Fighting for the hot seat were Knight and Tony Vicari, who decimated the winners’ brackets all day long. Their match was nearly a shut-out, as Knight skipped past 7-1. Vicari, eager for a rematch, made quick work of Vidal on the west side, defeating him 5-3 before returning to face Knight. The second time around Knight and Vicari seemed more evenly matched as they went double-hill, although in the end Knight won 9-8.Results:1st Richard Knight2nd Tony Vicari3rd Marc Vidal4th Little Loui5th Eric DavidScott Howard
