Krah Makes a Comeback

Gotham Billiards in Bergen, NJ, played host to the March 3-4 stop of the Blaze 9-Ball Tour. Out of a field of 45 top Northeastern players, Matt Krah won the tour’s fifth stop with a hill-hill victory over Tony Rodriquez.
Krah whizzed through the winners’ bracket with wins over Billy Kirshner
7-4, Jack Weltch 7-2, Tom Bow 7-5, Bill Horne 7-2, and Lee Kang 7-4 to reach the hot seat match. Meeting him there was Mark Pantovic, who scored victories over Carmen Lombardo 7-6, Myke Munoz 7-5, Mike Finger 7-2, and Eddie Hodan 7-3.
The hot seat match turned out to be a one-sided affair, with Krah running away with the win 7-3. On the one-loss side, Tony Rodriquez was making his way through, taking matches over Sean Morgan 6-4, Jeremy Sossie 6-1, Myke Munoz 6-4, Mike Davis 6-5, Bill Horne 6-2, Mike Miller 6-3, Eddie Hodan 6-2, Shaun Wilkie 6-4, and Pantovic 6-3 to get to the finals. When he met Krah, Rodriquez took an 8-5 lead in the race to 9 only to see Krah stage a comeback and steal the match 9-8.
